Tedit
By far the most useful feature of Tedit is it's programatic interface. Out of the box it doesn't even come close in features or functionality to most PC based editors. But once you start to enhance it with your own commands it can vaguely resemble a useable editor.
To my mind, the biggest dissadvantage faced by anyone wanting to do editing using any editor running in a Guardian environment is the terminal interface. The screen size is too small and the key sequences are very limited.
The biggest obsticle to doing your editing on a PC is the file transfer interface.
An EmacsEditor, customized to access the Guardian file system is by far the best answer (if you can afford the drawback that the file you are editing does not appear 'open' while you are editing).
